This is my other go to store for "after hours" shopping. Walmart is just down the street, but I shop at Giant when I have a primarily grocery type list of things to get. Wonderful selection of produce and just about everything else. Deli will slice your selections to the thickness you desire. Cashiers are typically pleasant and friendly.
While I love this store, it's clean, always stocked, and most of the employee's are amazing, I am giving it 3 stars due to the continued awful experience with the meat department. The young man behind the meat counter at night is down right rude and ignores you! Then if you are lucky enough to warrant his attention, he treats you poorly. I purchase seafood regularly and should not have to wait until the next day for a different employee. He ruins the overall great shopping experience.
Deli department is having some problems handling orders. In early November I placed an advanced order of chicken for my son's birthday party. The order was 15 minutes late. No big deal. My wife put in an advanced order [1 week early] for a party today. We show up at 3:00, I stand there for at least 10 minutes until a staff member greets me, and I'm informed they didn't know about the order. Luckily the pizza shop next door came through before most of our guests arrived.
Good variety of healthy or specialty foods (why does no one else in the area sell tzaziki?) and for the most part pricing is good. Will sometimes provide coupons on an item but jack up price so in reality you're paying the same price elsewhere.
The store is usually clean and the salad bar is usually nicely stocked. There are only three tables inside to eat at. Each table isn't particularly large and only has three chairs each. There are tables outside to eat at but they have umbrellas so they won't be coming in during the cold months.
